POLICE BRUTALITY CONTINUES IN MOZAMBIQUE

Police brutality remains a pressing issue in Mozambique, sparking widespread criticism and raising questions about the country’s law enforcement practices.

The Mozambican police force has faced accusations of employing poor tactics, often prioritizing annihilation over neutralizing situations with professionalism and strategic restraint. This approach has drawn sharp scrutiny from the public, who question the ethics and competence of the police. Many believe that these actions are driven by anger and bitterness, disproportionately targeting specific individuals or groups, rather than addressing broader systemic challenges.

Without meaningful reform, the cycle of violence and mistrust risks further undermining Mozambique’s efforts to foster a just and secure society.
